Scared To Death is a horror-comedy starring Lin Shaye and Bill Moseley. In other words, the horror icons should pull you in, and it is a kitschy and fun watch. Just not much more, and the story is virtually non-existent. Read our full Scared to Death movie review here! Scared To Death is a horror-comedy that will get lots of attention due to its cast. While I never want to be too negative about anything, I do think this movie was more fun to make than it is to watch. The whole concept is right up my alley: We follow a film crew getting ready to shoot a horror movie.

New Horror Movie Hits All-Time Box Office Low With Record-Breaking Debut

Scared to Death had a terrifying box office haul during its opening weekend. The new horror-comedy follows a production assistant for a horror movie (Olivier Paris) suggesting that they perform a real séance on set, with disastrous results. The movie also stars genre icons Lin Shaye and Bill Moseley opposite Rae Dawn Chong. Box Office Mojo reports that Scared to Death debuted at No. 37 on the domestic chart on the weekend of March 13, earning a total of $21,550 from 184 theaters. While movies that debut in limited release frequently earn much less than $1 million during their opening weekends, its debut per-screen average of $117 is the lowest of all time for a new release.
