Casting director Debbie McWilliams was unaware of this when replacing Bliss with Bond. Not expecting to return after the departure of Timothy Dalton anyway, Caroline harbored no ill feelings towards her friend, saying: "I am just glad it has gone to someone I love and who needs the money!".

She was a member of the Royal Shakespeare Company which led to her acting in Kenneth Branagha's production of 'Romeo and Juliet' as well as 'Much Ado About Nothing'.

Is one of a few people in the James Bond EON franchise who shares the same surname ('Bond') as the hero himself. She played Miss Moneypenny in all four Pierce Brosnan James Bond films.

She played Queen Elizabeth II in both Us and Them (2009) and The Queen and I (2018).
