Directed by Greek filmmaker and winner of the Silver Lion at the Venice Film Festival for "Miss Violence," Alexandros Avranas, "Don't Love Me" is a sinister story revolving around affective relationships in an oddly stifling and cold domestic space, similar to what we have seen in the cruelty of love and family relationships in Ingmar Bergman films like "Scenes from a Marriage" and "Persona"; though with a much more sinister tone akin to his Greek compatriot Yorgos Lanthimos ("The Killing of a Sacred Deer") or Austrian Michael Haneke's "Funny Games." Selected for the 2017 San Sebastian Film Festival, this is a chilly story about the moral decomposition of society and family, an intense provocation through its plot and visuals that yet presents no answers or solutions (perhaps because, simply, there aren't any).

"Miss Violence" is a critically acclaimed domestic violence drama that won the Silver Lion for Best Direction at the 2013 Venice Film Festival. It has a strong social critique and family relationships, an impeccable aesthetic, and an extremely well-constructed script that borders on the surreal in some parts, so absurd that certain facts of the movie can have a lot of relation to real life.

Based on the article 'True Crime: A Postmodern Murder Mystery', published in The New Yorker and directed by Alexandros Avranas ('Miss Violence'), 'True Crimes' is a thriller with a promising premise whose final product is not entirely solid, as it presents some pacing issues (in addition to somewhat excessive violence). If you like a brutal and dark suspense, this movie is for you. However, what stands out most is Jim Carrey's performance, who once again dives headfirst into a dramatic role to demonstrate his immense talent as an actor.

Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey 2 is the unlikely sequel to the feature film that placed the characters of this playful and childlike universe into a world of violence and horror. However, don't expect a production as weak as the previous film: with the success of the first installment at the box office, the production had more money to invest, and thus Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey 2 manages to be more realistic, violent, and impressive compared to the first film. The characters' masks are much scarier, and it ceases to be a complete joke. It's still difficult to take the film entirely seriously, especially with this bizarre premise of Pooh and his friends seeking bloody revenge, but you can already feel more fear and, above all, immerse yourself in the wave of violence that the film promotes. To have fun with friends.
