Why watch this film?
Almost without wanting to, and inspired by a saga of books that have almost nothing to do with this story, the 'How to Train Your Dragon' franchise won the hearts of the public. After all, director Dean DeBlois, after moving with 'Lilo & Stitch', hit the mark when telling the emotional journey of a boy with his dragon Banguela. The details of the production, as well as rare narrative insights rarely seen around, show the depth of the trilogy. And the second movie of 'How to Train Your Dragon' only proves how rich, sensitive and delicate this franchise is. The characters remain overly human, while the viewer's bond with the story is only getting stronger. It's hard to hold back the tears when the credits roll. And not because it's sad or something like that. But because it's beautiful, delicate and extremely sensitive. Embark on the journey of the story and have fun!

The third part of the 'How to Train Your Dragon' trilogy, which raised (even more) the quality of DreamWorks animations. Toothless and Hiccup return older and more experienced, in an adventure filled with action, breathtaking sequences, and of course, companionship. More than just an adventure for kids, it's a guide on how to tell a good story and how to skillfully close a trilogy. One of the most beloved and endearing Disney films, 'Lilo & Stitch' is one of those productions that deals with an alien invasion from an unlikely perspective: the friendship between a small Hawaiian girl and an alien-dog. From there, directors Dean DeBlois and Chris Sanders (who would later make the acclaimed 'How to Train Your Dragon') deal with themes such as departures, arrivals, family, friendship and growth. It's hard not to be enchanted by the characters, especially the aliens Jumba and Agent Pleakley, who give the story its comic tone. It's a movie to get emotional about, for adults and children alike, and it will surely achieve its goal: to move us and make us reflect on the importance of friendship.
How to Train Your Dragon
Inspired by a simple picture book and focused on very young children, 'How to Train Your Dragon' had everything to be just another animation movie in the market. However, directors Dean DeBlois and Chris Sanders (both from 'Lilo & Stitch') knew how to give a human and emotional treatment to the story of a Viking boy who needs to kill a dragon to prove his worth. However, along the way, he meets the dragon Toothless, which brings a strong humanity to the story and shows that not all dragons are the same. Sometimes we get so carried away by the marketing power of studios like Disney Pixar, and we overlook other avenues for deep and powerful animated stories that don't need excessively complex plots to evoke emotions. Such is the case with Robot Dreams, a Hispanic-French production directed by Pablo Berger (2012’s Snow White), based on the eponymous graphic novel by Sara Varon. Set in New York during the 80s, the story follows Dog, whose solitary life leads him to buy a robot for companionship. Their friendship grows, but an unfortunate day at the beach forces them to separate and long for the day of their reunion. Virtually without dialogue, with vibrant animation and a captivating visual language, the film tells a simple yet profoundly moving story about (curiously) human relationships and the course they take despite (or because of) accidents, fortuitous circumstances, and uncontrollable events that happen throughout life.
