Why watch this film?
After an above-average first movie, the feeling was that the green ogre franchise wouldn't be able to reach the same level of excellence. However, it's exactly the opposite that we see in 'Shrek 2': an extremely funny, provocative movie with one of the most exciting final scenes in animation cinema. In the plot, we already see Shrek in Fiona's arms, while he has to face the princess's family. The directors, who this time sign in trio, hit the mark by mixing the ogre's story with extremely beloved and memorable secondary characters, such as Puss in Boots, Donkey, Pinocchio, the Blind Mice or the Cookie. It's hard not to fall in love with the franchise, which reaches its peak here, and not to sing and dance 'Livin' La Vida Loca', by Ricky Martin.

"Shrek" showed that, in the American animation market, there was life beyond the critical and public successes of Pixar-Disney. In "Shrek," we have our first contact with the green ogre who, along with a talking donkey, must face a dangerous dragon to save an apparently helpless princess. Fun and often "politically incorrect," "Shrek" knew how to revolutionize fairy tale stories in the movies, taking classic characters to the extreme of good humor and non-sense situations. Although the ogre Shrek is the soul of the film, who steals the scene is Donkey, brilliantly dubbed in the original by Eddie Murphy. It's hard not to be enchanted by the story.

Robot Dreams
Sometimes we get so carried away by the marketing power of studios like Disney Pixar, and we overlook other avenues for deep and powerful animated stories that don't need excessively complex plots to evoke emotions. Such is the case with Robot Dreams, a Hispanic-French production directed by Pablo Berger (2012’s Snow White), based on the eponymous graphic novel by Sara Varon. Set in New York during the 80s, the story follows Dog, whose solitary life leads him to buy a robot for companionship. Their friendship grows, but an unfortunate day at the beach forces them to separate and long for the day of their reunion. Virtually without dialogue, with vibrant animation and a captivating visual language, the film tells a simple yet profoundly moving story about (curiously) human relationships and the course they take despite (or because of) accidents, fortuitous circumstances, and uncontrollable events that happen throughout life.
Masha and the Bear: Twice the Fun
Masha leaves the forest in pursuit of an adventure in the city, where she encounters many unexpected situations and surprises while attending a wedding, and later seeks to do everything in her power to save Christmas.
