Why watch this film?
Crystal Theobald was shot in the street in 2006, in sunny California, USA. The young woman's mother, Belinda Lane, promised to find her daughter's killer--something the police never could. With that goal in mind, the mother created a fake profile on MySpace and, over the course of ten years, went on a virtual manhunt for the criminal. In the style of 'Don't Fuck With Cats', the feature film shows this mother's thirst for justice and, with a distinctive style from first-time director Fredrick Munk, how social media can help justice finally happen--even if there is a thin line with simple and dangerous social justice. Another tense and interesting movie about real crimes on Netflix.
