Why watch this film?
The Justice Society of America was the first superhero team of DC Comics, introduced in 1940. Decades later, Warner Bros. Animation reused the concept for their 41st original DC animated movie. In the story, Barry Allen, the Flash, travels back in time, specifically to World War II - and finds the Justice Society fighting Nazis. From there, an action-packed story unfolds that pays tribute to Golden Age comics and war films alike. We have appearances from Wonder Woman, Black Canary, Hourman and the original Flash, Jay Garrick - plus a cast of Brazilian voice actors following the same line as other DC movies and series in the country. If you know little about the heroes and haven't watched the previous animated features, don't worry: 'Justice Society: World War II' works as a standalone story, without requiring any prior knowledge from the viewer.

'Green Lantern: Beware My Power' follows Navy veteran John Stewart, whose life gets complicated when he receives an extraterrestrial ring that grants him the powers of Earth's Green Lantern. The movie brings an origin story with a different approach, which makes the production quite intriguing. However, the plot ends up not being as engaging from the middle to the end, which is a shame as the story presents itself very well.

Robot Dreams
Sometimes we get so carried away by the marketing power of studios like Disney Pixar, and we overlook other avenues for deep and powerful animated stories that don't need excessively complex plots to evoke emotions. Such is the case with Robot Dreams, a Hispanic-French production directed by Pablo Berger (2012’s Snow White), based on the eponymous graphic novel by Sara Varon. Set in New York during the 80s, the story follows Dog, whose solitary life leads him to buy a robot for companionship. Their friendship grows, but an unfortunate day at the beach forces them to separate and long for the day of their reunion. Virtually without dialogue, with vibrant animation and a captivating visual language, the film tells a simple yet profoundly moving story about (curiously) human relationships and the course they take despite (or because of) accidents, fortuitous circumstances, and uncontrollable events that happen throughout life.
Masha and the Bear: Twice the Fun
Masha leaves the forest in pursuit of an adventure in the city, where she encounters many unexpected situations and surprises while attending a wedding, and later seeks to do everything in her power to save Christmas.
