Why watch this film?

Premiering under the direction of Evan Spiliotopoulos, the screenwriter of the live-action 'Beauty and the Beast' and 'Hercules', the feature film 'The Unholy' is one of those films that, like 'The Exorcist', plays with the sacred and the profane all the time. More specifically, the feature film is about the story of a young woman who says she has been blessed by the Virgin Mary. But deep down, it seems to be another day of spiritual presence. The highlight is Jeffrey Dean Morgan ('The Walking Dead'), who makes the best of a disjointed plot that doesn't even seem to be produced by Sam Raimi. At least there's fun and some good scares.
