Amigas de Sorte

Three lifelong friends finally win the lottery, but must hide their prize from their husbands.

Trailer

Why watch this film?

Stories of people who won the lottery in Brazil are not new -- the comedy 'Até que a Sorte nos Separe' with Leandro Hassum is a good example of this. However, the movie 'Amigas de Sorte' tries to give a new look to this type of narrative. Here, director Homero Olivetto ('Reza a Lenda') puts luck in the hands of three friends who live in Bixiga, a traditional Italian neighborhood in São Paulo. Played by Rosi Campos, Susana Vieira and Arlete Salles, the three ladies win the Mega Sena and, with the money, decide to take their first trip. Although Olivetto takes too long to reach the tone of the film, which moves between comedy of manners and blatant nonsense, with many jokes about sex, 'Amigas de Sorte' manages to entertain precisely because of the good performances of the trio of protagonists, who seem to really have fun on the screen. Do not expect a production full of good ideas, like the delicious 'De Onde eu te Vejo', with scenes also set in Bixiga. It is a movie that will make sense, in the end, for older viewers, who can identify and have some laughs seeing and imagining their routine as lottery winners. To pass the time and have fun.
