Why watch this film?

"Hava, Maryam, Ayesha" is a movie from Afghanistan that seeks to shed light on Afghan women, marginalized and diminished in a society that despises many of women's rights. Thus, in this movie, we follow these three titular women in their routines. The first, Hava, is pregnant, lives with her in-laws, and is constantly forced to satisfy the needs and desires of her husband. The second, Maryam, is a journalist in the process of divorce who constantly suffers attacks from her ex-husband. Finally, the third, Ayesha, is a young pregnant woman who must marry her cousin after her partner runs away. There is a lack of cohesion in the feature film, which puts these three stories in a very short period of time - each one of them, without a doubt, would make a movie. It feels rushed in these 90 minutes. But the strength of these three characters, especially Hava, transcends the screen. It is pure cinema, which puts us on the route of these marginalized characters in their societies, in different ways. It is raw, it is true, it is strong.
