Why watch this film?

If you like horror that fits comfortably in the "B movie" category, 'The Mad Hatter' is what you're looking for. Featuring a standout performance from Michael Berryman (of 'The Hills Have Eyes'), the feature tells an absurd, nonsensical story: a young man desperate to stop seeing visions of his dead sister, killed in a tragic accident. And what does he do to solve it? He goes, along with a group of students, to a haunted house to undergo hypnosis sessions -- yes, none of this makes any sense. It's a disjointed film, with a tortuous direction from first-time director Cate Devaney. But, as said, it should please fans of B movie productions.
