Pino

A documentary about the life and work of Italian artist Pino Pascali, who died at 32.

Why watch this film?

Directed by Walter Fasano (collaborator of director Luca Guadagnino as editor in films such as 'Suspiria' and 'Call Me By Your Name'), 'Pino' is a documentary about the Italian artist and sculptor Pino Pascali, one of the most important post-war ones, whose life was cut short at only 32. The film was made to commemorate the historical acquisition of one of his works by the Pino Pascali Museum, located in his hometown of Polignano a Mare, Italy. Told in the form of an audiovisual essay, with much still photography and a certain narrative overload, but it works as a great introduction to one of the most relevant names of the 60's ‘arte povera’.
