To See You Again

A woman searches for her missing brother's body among 100 buried by the government.

Why watch this film?

Sadly, kidnapping is already a common crime in Mexico, and the numbers of disappeared people continue to increase. Even the government's links to organized crime are an "open secret," but as with all statistics or headlines from the media, we really don't take notice of their impact until we stop to look at the stories of those who make up those numbers. 'To See You Again', the debut feature from director Carolina Corral, brings together the stories of three women searching for missing family members, training as forensic experts in order to take part in the exhumation of hundreds of bodies secretly buried by the government. It is a chilling testimony, revealing the suffering of broken families and confirming what we sadly already know about the authorities.
