Starring Vadhir Derbez (‘How to Become a Conqueror’) and Bárbara López (‘Sweet Caroline’), 'El Mesero' tells a captivating love story. The plot is simple and follows Rodrigo Sada (Derbez), who is stuck between two worlds: the one he belongs to and the one he aspires to belong to, as he works as a waiter in a luxurious restaurant and dreams of living like the clients he serves daily. Luis, his best friend and co-worker, advises him to stop thinking about all those things that are completely out of his reach. In doing so, he meets Mariana (López), a woman whom Rodrigo does everything to appear to be at the top, moving heaven, sea and earth to show his worth and gain the attention of the woman of his dreams, who belongs to an important family of entrepreneurs. Directed by Raúl Martínez, it's a movie that will leave you with a smile.

Eugenio Derbez produces a comedy movie, which more than providing laughs and entertainment, is a reflection on what it means to go back to the past to reminisce about dreams. When I am Young fits within the mold of the romantic comedies so popular in Mexican commercial cinema, though it is very pleasant to watch. It has a very interesting cast led by Veronica Castro, with Natasha Duperyron in the same role but young, completed by Michael Ronda, Eduardo Santamarina, Pierre Louis, Edgar Vivar and Manuel 'Flaco' Ibañez.

A Brighter Tomorrow
Italian filmmaker Nanni Moretti (winner of the Palme d'Or in 2001 for The Son's Room) returns with what has been called his 8½, for obvious reasons. A Brighter Tomorrow is the story of a filmmaker struggling to shoot a movie about the Hungarian Revolution, while trying to save his marriage to his producer wife. The film satirizes the current state of cinema, and perhaps indulges a bit too much in its nostalgia. It is far from the best that veteran Moretti has to offer, but if you've enjoyed his previous films, you will undoubtedly enjoy this one.
