Seven families in Paris face the best and worst of each other during lockdown.

Why watch this film?

The coronavirus pandemic not only caused delays and shutdowns of all cinemas, but also yielded some stories to be told through audiovisuals. This is the case of the drama about broken marriages 'Locked Down', the terrible thriller 'Isolated: Invisible Fear', the good documentary 'Life in a Day 2020' and, finally, 'Huit Rue de l'Humanite'. An exclusive Netflix film directed by Dany Boon ('A Riviera Não é Aqui'), the feature film shows the daily life of seven families in a building in Paris, France, who cannot leave home due to confinement. Although it relativizes the issue of the pandemic as a whole, romanticizing some things that happened during the period, 'Huit Rue de l'Humanite' serves as a portrait focused on a reality of loneliness and, above all, the need to support close people who, in the end, are not so close. A light and entertaining film to look back with some humor.
