Why watch this film?

Bad Neighbor, from producer and director Ricardo Jara, tells the environmental struggle to create awareness of the dire consequences of our excessive (and growing) meat consumption in the world. 'Bad Neighbor' is set in Chile, in the Maule Region, where a company dedicated to the breeding and export of pork decides to install a mega pig farm in the astonished view of the residents of the commune of San Javier. The irregularities in the project lead the inhabitants to confront it in a resistance movement, but also leads us to deeply question ourselves about the consequences of meat consumption and the impact it has on communities. Winner of the Audience Award at Patagonia Eco Film Fest, also of the Pantalla Verde Latinoamérica award, Environmental Film Festival of Cali, and theViña del Mar International Film Festival.
