"Fun and unusual Brazilian comedy movie, 'Galeria Futuro' is one of those good and unpretentious surprises of national cinema. Directed by four hands by Fernando Sanches ('A Pedra da Serpente') and Afonso Poyart ('2 Coelhos', 'Mais Forte Que o Mundo'), the feature film follows the drama of three friends (Marcelo Serrado, Ailton Graça and Otávio Müller) who work in a gallery, which gives its name to the feature film and which is about to be bought by a pastor to become a church. Desperate to keep this place of connection between them, they decide to sell a lost drug in the store of one of them. That's where the chaos begins. The trio, along with the sub-celebrity Paula (Luciana Paes), enters the world of trafficking and bothers Mesbla (Milhem Cortaz), the drug boss there in the region. Well produced, with an interesting visual, 'Galeria Futuro' manages to make a simple and inspired humor that, when least expected, makes us laugh. There are good scenes in which the characters, drugged, begin to imagine parallel realities. In addition, the feature film manages to bring elements of Brazilian culture to give some personality to the film - a joke involving Faustão with Cortaz and Serrado is particularly hilarious. Obviously, it is not a movie that wants to change your life or anything like that. But still, it will make you spend time with a light, friendly story and that, at the end of the day, you think: what really matters from my past?

Plot summary
Valentim, Kodak and Eddie have known each other since childhood and are shopkeepers at Galeria Futuro, a shopping center in Copacabana that once boasted luxury and pomp, and which today is nothing but a sad and decadent place. Full of debts and about to go bankrupt, the gallery's administration is surprised by a millionaire proposal from a Pastor, who wants to transform the space into an Evangelical Church. The three friends are destroyed with the possibility of losing the much loved Futuro Gallery, but their luck changes when they find a chest full of a hallucinogenic substance from the 70s, capable of fulfilling the most insane desires of those who consume it. With the help of Paula, a newly arrived shopkeeper, they will come up with a miraculous and surreal plan to try to save the Gallery and prevent its sale. Galeria Futuro is an unusual story about friendship, nostalgia and personal evolution. The characters, stuck in the past, will have to confront the present, overcome their limitations and, as frightening as it may seem, face the future.
