Why watch this film?

"8 Presidents 1 Oath" does a meticulous job of research in archival materials, and is a reflection of how much Brazil has advanced politically since the end of the dictatorship to today. The film does not feature current interviews or narration, only archive images reflecting the last 40 years of our politics, in an immersive and dense way. It is very interesting to see how only with factual images the feature film explicitly expresses a lot about our reality, and the ever-present ghost of the dictatorship is palpable. The documentary is a great historical essay on political parties, and a rich study of the Brazilian scenario, with enlightening perspectives. It should be seen by everyone who has the slightest interest in politics, regardless of positioning. A great lesson in Brazilian history and political science.
