Why watch this film?

Robert Greene is an independent filmmaker who has stood out throughout the 2010s, having worked with other rising names in American independent cinema such as Alex Ross Perry and Sean Price Williams. As a director, his work is as a documentarian, and his style is very singular for choosing certain situations and recreating them with the people involved, thus managing to dress up the past in an intense and cathartic way. This is the case of 'Procession', where he, along with six male survivors of sexual abuse at the hands of the Catholic Church, performs the past with them, as a way to overcome the traumas and free themselves. It is an intense and heavy but sensitive film, which knows how to deal with the subject in a careful and respectful way, thus executing a unique and very memorable experience and consolidating Robert Greene as a unique documentary author, who must be followed.
