Why watch this film?

"Mixtape" is a drama starring Julie Bowen ("Modern Family") and Jackson Rathbone ("Twilight") and tells the story of a 12-year-old girl who finds a broken cassette tape that belonged to her parents, whom she never met. With this, she decides to track down each of the obscure songs on the tape in an effort to find out a little more about their lives and thus get to know them. The feature film had its script ready since 2009 and, after years of fruitless negotiations, Netflix entered the project and decided to produce it. It is a light dramatic comedy about maturity, which bets on the emotion of its viewers for honest and sincere family relationships that the movie builds.
