My Best Friend Anne Frank is a touching story that narrates the already known life of Anne Frank, but this time from a new point of view: that of her best friend, Hannah. The film makes an interesting choice in its way of portraying the characters, as it reminds us that Anne was just a teenager during the war period, and it does not fear to treat her as such, thus humanizing her and putting into perspective all she went through without even having reached adulthood. It is a powerful historical drama that manages to employ a lot of realism to the characters it chooses to portray.
