Also known as RBG, she was the second woman to join the Supreme Court of that country - and, before that, with a long trajectory in the judiciary, including the fight for women's rights and gender equality. The documentary brings an intense representation of the judge, especially at a moment when there is a clash (for and against) the causes she defends. The production has the signatures of Participant Media (from 'Roma' and Green Book') and CNN Films, which certifies even more its quality.
My Name Is Pauli Murray
My Name Is Pauli Murray is a documentary that tells the story of Pauli Murray, a non-binary activist lawyer who formulated ideas that influenced the fight for gender equity and civil rights. In addition to practicing law, Murray wrote and taught Christian teachings. The film is signed by Julie Cohen and Betsy West, directors of the documentary 'The Judge', which tells the life story of Ruth Bader Ginsburg, an important figure in American history and heavily influenced by Pauli Murray. The first question the filmmakers faced when confronted with the project was: "Why didn't we know this person?". So they did everything as quickly as possible to tell Murray's story. For obvious reasons, Pauli was forgotten in history and the film is important to highlight the very important deeds of the activist to the world. In addition, his works are studied to this day and are important and extremely current topics to deal with, even so many years after his death in 1985.

Directing duo Amanda McBaine and Jesse Moss, known for the award-winning documentary Boys State, return now for Girls State. But it would be a mistake to say it's just a female version of the first documentary. Through a select group of girls participating in a federal government simulation in Missouri, this film reveals, firstly, how American politics operates. But secondly, and more importantly, it explores how an environment supposedly empowering girls can both propel and limit them at the same time, raising questions about what we understand about power and the ways to exercise it.

Documentaries about the climate crisis are never too many, but sometimes it can be challenging to find one that presents its arguments in a different and memorable way. Earth Protectors is a worthy attempt. Directed by French artist and environmental activist Anne de Carbuccia, it artistically documents her 10-year journey around the world exploring the impact of climate change in various countries, as well as the solutions undertaken to empower global citizens and address the crisis. At times, de Carbuccia and her works take more prominence than necessary, but she manages to present vital information.
