Why watch this film?

Through the story of a young woman who gets pregnant in France in 1963, when abortion was a serious crime punishable by imprisonment, 'Happening' is an anguishing and brilliant film. Written and very well directed by Audrey Diwan, the feature is of extreme relevance even today - because we know that while women's advances continue, we are also going backwards, given the society in which we still live. It is important to mention that it is a very strong production, has unbearable scenes, mainly due to the dose of reality that Diwan brings. After all, the protagonist (played by Annamaria Vartolomei, winner of the César for Best Actress for her performance) is forced to go through desolate situations. It is a story that leaves anyone outraged, especially when we live in a country where being a woman is a challenge.
