A Comanche warrior fights to protect her tribe against a highly-evolved Predator.

Why watch this film?

At a superficial level, 'Prey' is an excellent action and horror movie: there is bloody combat, high tension and the ever-brutal alien, more so than ever. However, this prequel (set in 1791) manages to become the best of the entire 'Predator' franchise by subverting its conventions, with a female protagonist (a Comanche warrior played by Amber Midthunder from the 'Legion' series) and tracing a believable journey. She, with whom it is easy to identify, also questions the action hero stereotype. You can read more in our review, but suffice it to say that 'Prey' is a satisfying and refreshing action proposal. It is an exclusive Star+ feature, although it is a shame that it was not released in theaters.
