Triple Frontier
This is one of Netflix's riskiest bets for 2019. Directed by J.C. Chandor (of 'A Most Violent Year') and the same producers of 'Wonder Woman', 'Triple Frontier' features a star-studded cast, including stars like Ben Affleck ('The Accountant'), Oscar Isaac ('Star Wars: The Last Jedi') and Pedro Pascal ('Narcos'). The story takes place in a place that, in a way, is known to us Brazilians: the triple border between Brazil, Colombia and Peru (although the movie is not very accurate in terms of location), where crimes and drug trafficking from South America occur. Despite its shortcomings in the screenplay - full of clichés and misunderstandings about the culture of the region -, the feature-length film delivers good escape scenes and action.

The Other One - A fast-paced action, mystery and thriller film that follows a young woman with impressive telekinetic powers, desperately fighting for her life while unraveling the mysteries of her past, pursued by unscrupulous killers. With Blue Dragon Award nominations for Best Supporting Actress (Seo Eun-su) and Best New Actress (Cynthia), this film captures the protagonist's intense battle to find answers and justice, facing not only her persecutors, but also to his own inner demons.
Bloodsport
Jean-Claude Van Damme makes his starring debut in the descriptively titled Bloodsport. An American soldier at large in Hong Kong, Van Damme becomes involved in the Kumite, a highly illegal kickboxing competition. Whoever survives the bout will be crowned Kumite champion of the world…a title that has plenty of challengers with homicide in their hearts. The finale offers a duel to the death between Van Damme and reigning Kumite king Bolo Yeung. The script is based on the real-life exploits of martial arts champ Frank Dux, who serves as the film's fight coordinator.

The Order
In The Order, Van Damme plays a man accused of murder who seeks a sacred scripture in Jerusalem before it falls into the wrong hands, jeopardizing his freedom. With shades of Dan Brown and a script by Jean Claude Van Damme himself, alongside Les Weldon (screenwriter of another action star film, Replicant), the movie is what every fan of the Belgian actor wants: brawling, with a fun plot, and never boring.
