Why watch this film?
Young Thomas, only 19 years old, wakes up in a hospital. He doesn't know where he is or what happened. That's when he finds out he has been in a coma for three years. That's when psychologist Anna tells him his family was murdered and he is the only survivor of the massacre - his sister Laura, meanwhile, remains missing. From there, 'Le Patient' shows this young man trying to piece together his fragmented memories to unmask the killer, find Laura and, ultimately, uncover the truth about his entire story. Although somewhat obvious in its development, with a cliched ending, this Netflix exclusive production will hold the audience's attention and excite them with its plot.

I am Jonas
If you saw French actor Félix Maritaud in '120 Beats Per Minute' or in the intense drama of 'Savage' (by Camille Vidal-Naquet), you will know that he is quite capable of conveying to the audience the deep emotional turmoil that his film characters suffer. In 'Jonas', he achieves the same effect with ease, presenting us with a broken and conflicted protagonist in the adult phase of the story (set in 2015), which intertwines with his contrasting adolescence (in 1997, played by young actor Nicolas Bauwens). This exploration of various stages in the character's life will certainly remind you of 'Moonlight', but the surprising twist of the script towards mystery hides a powerful emotional punch.
