The fourth installment of the Mission: Impossible film saga is where a narrative that will continue in the following entries begins to be built. In Ghost Protocol, we follow Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) again on a clandestine mission, after the IMF is disavowed when it is implicated in an attack against the Kremlin, working with new allies whom he doesn't know if he can trust. Besides these very well developed intrigues, Ghost Protocol also starts the tradition of seeing Cruise performing truly amazing high-risk scenes, such as the climb up Burj Khalifa, one of the world's tallest buildings. It is here where the Mission: Impossible franchise reaches a new level, and only sets the bar higher with each release.

It had to be Disney-Pixar to mix the story of a rat with gastronomy in the delicious 'Ratatouille'. Here, director Brad Bird ('The Incredibles') moves and entertains with the story of Rémy, a French rat with almost supernatural talents in the kitchen. To make himself present in Parisian gastronomy, however, the small animal ends up relying on the figure of Linguini, a young man without any culinary talent who agrees to be Rémy's puppet. A light and entertaining movie, very well set in a France that makes you want to visit, with truly empathetic characters that make you want to see many other stories. And this without mentioning the water in the mouth that arises with so many memorable dishes.
The Iron Giant
Today considered a cult classic and one of the most beautiful animated films of the late 20th century, 'The Iron Giant' marked the directorial debut of Brad Bird (who would go on to direct acclaimed gems like 'The Incredibles' and 'Ratatouille'), and was a notable box office flop during its first year, between a previous stumble from Warner Bros. and the beginning of the computer animation era. However, from that moment on, the film was recognized as a masterpiece, which manages to present the complexities of human relationships and the paranoia of the nuclear age in a digestible and familiar way, mixing beautiful traditional animation with digital animation elements in its main character. And did you know this is one of the first voice acting works in films for Vin Diesel ('Fast & Furious') and Jennifer Aniston ('Friends')? A true classic.

The Fall Guy
The Fall Guy is one of those films that seem designed to have it all and thus please the broadest audience possible. Based on the 1980s series of the same name and directed by David Leitch (former stunt double and now director of films like Bullet Train and Deadpool 2), the movie follows Colt Seavers (Ryan Gosling), a down-on-his-luck stunt double who must investigate the mysterious disappearance of actor Tom Ryder (Aaron Taylor-Johnson), as this would ruin the first movie of his beloved, filmmaker Jody (Emily Blunt). And the major problem with this movie is that it tries to be everything: romantic comedy, action comedy, Hollywood satire, crime mystery, and more, hampered by the magnitude of its own ambitions, as well as an overloaded and unclear script. You can enjoy it as an insight into the world behind action cinema, and for the charisma of Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt.
