Why watch this film?
Based on the book of the same name written by John Grisham (famous for cool thrillers such as 'The Firm' and 'The Pelican Brief'), this movie gave Susan Sarandon the BAFTA award for Best Actress, plus an Oscar nomination. Though it doesn't have a brilliant script, the production is sustained precisely by the actress' performance and should satisfy those who like courtroom movies.

Plot summary

Batman & Robin
Under Joel Schumacher's command, the feature bets on the same exaggerated aesthetic that marked the director's passage by the hero. The great addition here is the humor, much more present than in previous films - even if it results in sequences worthy of shame, like the one with the Batman using the "batcard". This time, George Clooney is under the hood. We also have the return of Robin (Chris O'Donnell) and the introduction of a new heroine, Batgirl (Alicia Silverstone). Together, they face the villains Poison Ivy (Uma Thurman) and Mr. Freeze (Arnold Schwarzenegger himself). It is not, as cinema, a good movie, but it marked the childhood of many people precisely because of its easy story, with appeal to children.
The Lost Boys
This 80s thriller has become a cult classic despite its somewhat ridiculous premise, over-the-top acting and an all-star cast of young stars of the era (such as Kiefer Sutherland of '24' early in his career). If you like vampires, 'Los muchachos perdidos' (better known by its original title of 'The Lost Boys') is a little gem that's enjoyable and ridiculous in equal measure.
Batman Forever
Under the direction of Joel Schumacher ('The Phantom of the Opera'), Batman returned in a mix of Tim Burton's aesthetics and the visual excesses of the 1990s. The result is a film that, in some moments, recalls the 1960s TV series. The title character is played by Val Kilmer and a new hero is introduced: Robin, played by Chris O'Donnell. Together, they face Two-Face by Tommy Lee Jones and The Riddler by Jim Carrey - which, to this day, stirs up love and hate from fans due to his mannered performance. Far from being the best movie of the character, it is still an interesting portrait of an era.

Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey 2
Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey 2 is the unlikely sequel to the feature film that placed the characters of this playful and childlike universe into a world of violence and horror. However, don't expect a production as weak as the previous film: with the success of the first installment at the box office, the production had more money to invest, and thus Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey 2 manages to be more realistic, violent, and impressive compared to the first film. The characters' masks are much scarier, and it ceases to be a complete joke. It's still difficult to take the film entirely seriously, especially with this bizarre premise of Pooh and his friends seeking bloody revenge, but you can already feel more fear and, above all, immerse yourself in the wave of violence that the film promotes. To have fun with friends.
