Why watch this film?
The story is about Kara (Helen Slater), who lives in Argo City, a city that managed to survive the end of Krypton. However, the small piece of land begins to deteriorate - and she is sent to Earth, the same planet where years before her cousin, Kal-El (better known as Superman), was sent. Here, she gains superpowers and begins to protect our planet as Supergirl. Unfortunately, Christopher Reeve refused to reprise the role of Man of Steel in this movie, which would have been interesting. The final result is far from a masterpiece of cinema, but certainly brings an affectionate memory for some.

Plot summary
After a power source for the community of Krypton survivors is accidentally whisked to earth, Kara-El, cousin to Superman and niece to Jor-El, chooses to go to earth to find it, and bring it back. Upon her arrival, she becomes just a powerful as her cousin, but encounters dangerous battles and unexpected obstacles when a mean spirited woman who practices rituals of the occult takes the power source for herself, and uses it to cause destruction and attempt zenith human status.

Somewhere In Time
A classic that shows that love is the only thing capable of overcoming time, with Christopher Reeve and Jane Seymour. 'Somewhere In Time' is a romance that will enchant even the most insensitive. The story is moving, mainly because it is watered innocence - a differential of the 1980s films, which did not need to explore eroticism and sex scenes to bring a complete plot. Another interesting point is that we follow the plot from the male point of view and, normally, in romances we always have the female vision. It is good to mention that the production deals with time travel, a theme also explored in the great romantic comedy 'About Time'. The film also stands out for its soundtrack, photography, scenography, costumes (which earned an Oscar nomination) and editing, which help in the enveloping atmosphere of the plot.

Bloodsport
Jean-Claude Van Damme makes his starring debut in the descriptively titled Bloodsport. An American soldier at large in Hong Kong, Van Damme becomes involved in the Kumite, a highly illegal kickboxing competition. Whoever survives the bout will be crowned Kumite champion of the world…a title that has plenty of challengers with homicide in their hearts. The finale offers a duel to the death between Van Damme and reigning Kumite king Bolo Yeung. The script is based on the real-life exploits of martial arts champ Frank Dux, who serves as the film's fight coordinator.

The Order
In The Order, Van Damme plays a man accused of murder who seeks a sacred scripture in Jerusalem before it falls into the wrong hands, jeopardizing his freedom. With shades of Dan Brown and a script by Jean Claude Van Damme himself, alongside Les Weldon (screenwriter of another action star film, Replicant), the movie is what every fan of the Belgian actor wants: brawling, with a fun plot, and never boring.
