Plot summary

Created in the mythical Hanna-Barbera in the late 1960s, Scooby-Doo quickly became a worldwide phenomenon. However, in the second half of the 1990s, the Danish dog was down, with no new episodes on TV. At that time, the first feature film directly to video with the character was released, called 'Scooby-Doo: Return to Zombie Island'. After 21 years and 33 animated films for this segment, the Mystery Inc. gang returns precisely to the same island full of zombies - in a mystery that, in practice, they never solved. The animation style follows the original Scooby series quite closely, but brings more modern elements. The final result is clearly a movie to entertain grandparents, parents and children.
Scooby-Doo! and the Curse of the 13th Ghost
If you are a fan of the world's most famous talking German Dog, then you will love 'Scooby-Doo! and the Curse of the 13th Ghost'. It is a direct continuation of the character's animated series originally aired in the 1980s (and endlessly repeated on channels like Globo and Cartoon Network) called 'The 13 Ghosts of Scooby-Doo'. The animation style is more modern, of course, but the essence of Shaggy, Velma, Daphne, and of course, Scooby remains. Great to watch with family, with parents passing the tradition to the new generations.
Straight Outta Nowhere: Scooby-Doo Meets Courage the Cowardly Dog
It's hard to think of two dogs as complementary as Scooby-Doo and Courage the Cowardly Dog. Although their television shows were produced in totally different eras, the two share an insane fear of anything and the ability to solve mysteries -- although the pink dog is much more capable in this sense than his sausage companion. That's why it's so fun to watch a mix like 'Straight Outta Nowhere: Scooby-Doo Meets Courage the Cowardly Dog'. Seeking to unravel a secret in the heart of Kansas, this duo joins other characters like Fred, Velma, Daphne, Shaggy, Muriel and Eustace to solve the mystery of a giant monster. Although it slips a bit in the mix of the two stories, leaving the monsters of Courage somewhat faded, it's priceless to check out some situations that only a "crossover" like this can achieve, like Muriel along with Mystery Inc. finding it all very funny and unusual, or Eustace fighting with Shaggy.

Sometimes we get so carried away by the marketing power of studios like Disney Pixar, and we overlook other avenues for deep and powerful animated stories that don't need excessively complex plots to evoke emotions. Such is the case with Robot Dreams, a Hispanic-French production directed by Pablo Berger (2012’s Snow White), based on the eponymous graphic novel by Sara Varon. Set in New York during the 80s, the story follows Dog, whose solitary life leads him to buy a robot for companionship. Their friendship grows, but an unfortunate day at the beach forces them to separate and long for the day of their reunion. Virtually without dialogue, with vibrant animation and a captivating visual language, the film tells a simple yet profoundly moving story about (curiously) human relationships and the course they take despite (or because of) accidents, fortuitous circumstances, and uncontrollable events that happen throughout life.
