Lean On Pete

A teen bonds with a racehorse while working for a trainer, embarking on a journey of self-discovery.

Why watch this film?

This touching British drama set in the United States explores the relationship between a 15-year-old (played by Charlie Plummer, John Paul Getty III from 'All the Money in the World') who ends up forming a strong bond with a horse and, together, they travel around the country - a metaphor for discovering ourselves during adolescence. The production is from A24, also responsible for features like 'Moonlight' and 'Lady Bird', and was highly praised by festivals it appeared at, including the Marcello Mastroianni Award (for best emerging actor) at the Venice Film Festival.
