A Japanese animated film, the fifth installment in a franchise of movies and series that takes place in the same continuity as the famous horror video games. 'Resident Evil: Death Island' continues after the events of 'Resident Evil: Vendetta,' bringing together several classic franchise characters such as Jill Valentine, Leon Kennedy, the Redfield siblings, and Rebecca Chambers, who investigate an outbreak of the T-virus on Alcatraz Island. The animation makes the movie feel like a scene from the video games that extends for an hour and a half, which will be perfect for long-time fans or those looking for a less fantastical adaptation than the films with Milla Jovovich. If you're looking for a traditional zombie movie, this may not be for you.
