Why watch this film?
Stanley "Stan" Laurel and Oliver "Ollie" Hardy formed one of the greatest comedy duos in history, which, in the world of cinema, can only be equated in size to the success of The Three Stooges. Laurel and Hardy - or the Fat and the Lean, as they became known in Brazil - started in silent films, entering the talkies and the Golden Age of the seventh art. This feature film adapts the final phase of their career, already in the 1950s, and is a nostalgic tribute to the legacy of the duo, but without failing to entertain the viewer. Special mention for the excellent performance of the protagonists, Steve Coogan ('Philomena') and John C. Reilly ('Chicago'). Reilly even received a Golden Globe nomination for his performance in the feature. In Brazil, 'Stan and Ollie' premieres directly on streaming.

Tetris
Today, everyone and their grandparents have played Tetris or at least heard about the famous video game, one of the most popular in history and still current. However, few know the story behind it, a curious trajectory that runs parallel to the technological and political career between capitalist and communist blocs during the Cold War. Tetris, exclusive to Apple TV+ starring Taron Egerton (Rocketman) is a film inspired by this story, and even though it takes some creative liberties to move towards the terrain of the political thriller, it's quite enjoyable. Its focus on Henk Rogers' (Egerton) perspective as the "trailblazer" of Tetris doesn't always work, but if you want to learn more about this peculiar story, it's a good starting point.

How to Deal with a Heartbreak
Sequel to the successful Peruvian romantic comedy "Soltera codiciada" from 2018. In How to Deal with a Heartbreak, we pick up the story of María Fe (Gisela Ponce de León), who seems to be going through her best moment... until the pandemic arrives. Struggling with creative block but committed to writing a second book for a publisher, she faces an existential crisis in the worst possible way. This sequel is interesting because it takes into consideration how the pandemic affected an entire generation both professionally and economically. However, the narrative isn't as effective as the first one, as it tends to get lost in unnecessary detours and twists. You'll enjoy it if you liked the original.
