The Right Stuff

Seven macho astronauts defy the unknown in early space program

Trailer

Why watch this film?

Considered a classic by many, 'The Right Stuff' is a patriotic homage film. Here, the honorees are the seven first astronauts selected to participate in the American space program. But if you can look past director Philip Kaufman's (of the great 'Invasion of the Body Snatchers') nationalist exaggeration, you will find a cinematic gem. With emotion and delicacy, the feature film shows the journey of these men in a noble and respectful way, showing all the barriers they broke towards the infinite and, mainly, the unknown. After all, in some way, without the bravery of this group of men, space travel would be impossible. Special mention should go to Sam Shepard's performance as the first man to break the sound barrier.
