Tombstone Rashomon

The legendary shootout at the OK Corral told from multiple perspectives.

Why watch this film?

Today's cinema, with a good budget, can reconstruct any great event in human history - or events that never even happened. But imagine if a group of filmmakers took this to another level, traveling back in time to record an actual event: the OK Corral shootout. But they arrive after the shots have been fired, leaving them with the alternative of interviewing the survivors. This is how 'Tombstone Rashomon' begins, a curious western directed by Alex Cox that borrows the format from Akira Kurosawa's 'Rashomon', with the same event recreated from different perspectives. Recommended for those who like films completely out of the box.
