Why watch this film?
While the original Lethal Weapon had some comedic elements, it certainly also had a good dose of drama thanks to Riggs. In contrast, Lethal Weapon 2 - the most successful installment in the franchise at the box office and with critics - relies more on the comedic dynamic between its two protagonists, Mel Gibson and Donald Glover (plus the added bonus of the great Joe Pesci), to achieve a much more fun and explosive movie than the original. It may not be able to boast a particularly complex plot, but it doesn't really need it either: its two main actors and its action sequences full of adrenaline achieve one of the best action films of the eighties.

The Goonies
One of the greatest classics of Sessão da Tarde, that has been the soundtrack to many generations' childhoods. Also directed by Richard Donner and written by Chris Columbus (‘Uma Babá Quase-Perfeita’), the movie is about a group of teenagers and children living in Goon Docks, Oregon, trying to find a way to save their homes from demolition. There is also a great homage to pirate stories, which made Donner's childhood. ‘The Goonies’ is an inventive film with great appeal among the kids and a nostalgic feeling for adults.
Superman
The first comic book superhero, introduced in 1938, was also the first to have a big budget version in the era of blockbuster cinema, starting in the second half of the 1970s. The one chosen to show us that man could fly was director Richard Donner ("Lethal Weapon"), but the production was tumultuous behind the scenes - there were many ups and downs, as well as a long screenplay by Mario Puzzo ("The Godfather") that was drastically rewritten. The final result, seen on the screen, brings then-unknown Christopher Reeve in the title role, in an excellent performance that knows how to dose the innocence of Clark Kent with the charisma of Superman. Also highlight, for the energy of Margot Kidder as Lois Lane, the curious reporter of the Daily Planet. The result is a film with an innocent air and dated special effects, yes, but with an energy and feelings that are missing in many of today's superhero movies.
16 Blocks

The Fall Guy is one of those films that seem designed to have it all and thus please the broadest audience possible. Based on the 1980s series of the same name and directed by David Leitch (former stunt double and now director of films like Bullet Train and Deadpool 2), the movie follows Colt Seavers (Ryan Gosling), a down-on-his-luck stunt double who must investigate the mysterious disappearance of actor Tom Ryder (Aaron Taylor-Johnson), as this would ruin the first movie of his beloved, filmmaker Jody (Emily Blunt). And the major problem with this movie is that it tries to be everything: romantic comedy, action comedy, Hollywood satire, crime mystery, and more, hampered by the magnitude of its own ambitions, as well as an overloaded and unclear script. You can enjoy it as an insight into the world behind action cinema, and for the charisma of Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt.
