Why watch this film?

"Eugenia" is a Bolivian production that plays with black and white photography to present a story about what it means to be a woman in present-day Bolivia. Eugenia, the titular character, doesn't fit into any female cliché: she's not young, not old, not married, not a mother... But she seeks independence. To do so, she embarks on a new life, changing cities and venturing into a new job. Production, script, and direction are signed by Martín Boulocq ("Los Viejos"), who presents an intimate and engaging narrative.
