The Pelican Brief

A law student uncovers a dangerous conspiracy in this political thriller.

Trailer

Why watch this film?

This is an entertaining political thriller perfect for conspiracy theory lovers, adapted from John Grisham's namesake novel (whose works have also given rise to films such as 'A Time To Kill', 'The Firm: No Escape' and 'The Client'). 'The Pelican Brief' is the penultimate film directed by Alan J. Pakula ('Sophie's Choice'), and although it does not reach the heights of his brilliant 'All The President's Men', the result is highly entertaining thanks to its solid cast, led by intense performances from Julia Roberts ('Pretty Woman') and Denzel Washington ('Malcolm X'), accompanied by other great actors such as Stanley Tucci, John Lithgow and John Heard.
