Tamara and the Ladybug

Tamara and Doña Meche form an unlikely bond to return a baby in Mexico City.

Why watch this film?

Without falling into sensationalism, the third feature film by Mexican filmmaker Lucía Carreras (director of 'Nos vemos, papá' and co-writer of 'La jaula de oro') is a modest but sensitive portrait of the loneliness and neglect suffered by many women in Mexico, and in general those belonging to vulnerable groups such as people with disabilities and the elderly. The performances of Ángeles Cruz ('Rito terminal') and Angelina Peláez ('La vida precoz y breve de Sabina Rivas'), both nominated for the Ariel Award in 2018, will move you and convey the desolation of abandonment, but also the hope that comes with the need to give love and care to others.
