Why watch this film?

Starring the trio Andy Garcia (from 'Ocean's Eleven'), Karl Urban (from the series 'The Boys') and Sofía Vergara (the eternal Gloria from 'Modern Family'), 'Bent' is one of those police movies made to measure for genre fans. After all, all the elements that were successful with the audience are here: there is conspiracy, intertwined plots, characters being deceived, "fatal women". However, it is interesting to see how debut director Bobby Moresco (producer of the movie 'Crash: On the Edge') works with these formulas of police cinema in a low-budget production. There are more dialogues, more reflective moments, more silences. So, it is necessary to watch the movie ready for a different experience, which joins almost dissonant elements of "big cinema". And it is worth paying attention to the performance of Garcia, who manages to extract good moments even with a little developed character; and Vergara, impeccable in moments of explosion.
