Passengers is a thriller with supernatural and romance elements, starring Anne Hathaway and Patrick Wilson. The story follows a therapist assigned to five survivors of a plane crash, one of whom seems to have developed the gift of clairvoyance. Given the various genres it blends, it’s a film that feels a bit tonally strange but will be enjoyed by those who like a good mystery with shocking twists in the style of The Sixth Sense and similar films.
A surprising suspense with great performances by Anne Hathaway and Jessica Chastain, "Mothers' Instinct" explores grief and distrust in a plot where we never know the paths of Hathaway's character, in a cat-and-mouse game with a jaw-dropping ending.
Anne Hathaway portrays Gloria, an unemployed woman who discovers a supernatural connection with a giant creature causing trouble in Seoul. A deviation from Hathaway's usual roles, the film skillfully balances humor and emotion.
In one of her early big-screen roles, Anne Hathaway shines as Mia Thermopolis, an awkward teenager who discovers she's the heir to the throne of Genovia. It's a film full of nostalgic moments.
It's safe to say that Anne Hathaway hasn't made as much noise with a film like "The Idea of You” since "The Intern". Here, she plays a mother who falls in love with the leader of a boy band. Immersed in clichés, the film manages to keep everyone engaged in the plot and rooting for a happy ending — even though everyone knows how it will end from the start.
