"Green Lantern" is at risk of being one of the most disgraced movies in the comic book universe. Even with a star-studded cast (Ryan Reynolds, Mark Strong, Geoffrey Rush, etc.), this adaptation to the big screen of the classic DC hero fails to bring all the strength and vitality that the story requires. Many of the characters are poorly constructed, some things don't make sense, and director Martin Campbell ("007: Casino Royale") wastes much of the potential of the comics with silly nonsense. It's a strange movie that should only please a few specific people, who don't really care about the comic book base or want something really unpretentious to pass the time -- after all, even Ryan Reynolds made fun of the movie in "Deadpool 2".

As the name suggests, the feature-length film tells the origin story of James Howlett, who the world would come to know as Wolverine and those closest to him would call Logan. One of its great merits is Hugh Jackman's charisma, but it's not enough to make up for the weak screenplay and poor studio choices - like turning Deadpool into a generic villain, for example.

Forget the Deadpool seen in 'X-Men Origins: Wolverine.' This movie takes place within the new mutant timeline, beginning after the events of 'X-Men: Days of Future Past' and set in the present. The film is heavily based on the comics, mainly the Joe Kelly and Ed McGuinness era of Deadpool. So we get a movie that mixes humor, violence and action into a fun story. Ryan Reynolds is totally comfortable in the title role, breaking the fourth wall and dialoguing with the audience. The film was a pleasant surprise for fans and critics alike, taking away the bad taste left by 'X-Men: Apocalypse.' Discover other films from the Marvel universe.

Continuing directly from "Deadpool," this sequel is even more interesting and entertaining than the first. Here, Deadpool must face the consequences of his actions as a masked vigilante and his desire for a normal family life. He ends up gathering an unlikely team, the X-Force, featuring special cameos from familiar faces. Another highlight is Josh Brolin as Cable, forming an interesting duo with Ryan Reynolds. Despite the excess of blood, action, and humor, this is a film about family! Directed by the competent David Leitch, who had also done great work in "Atomic Blonde" and "John Wick" (although without the proper credit in the latter).
