Fruit of the character's success in the Shrek universe, the mediocre Puss in Boots doesn't resemble the original green ogre films in almost anything - there are no good jokes like in the main franchise, nor that funny satirical tone. However, the Cat still charms the little ones with jokes and situations well directed to children, always trying to get close to what the Shrek plot achieved. The great highlight is the presence of Humpty Dumpty and the voice work of Antonio Banderas (Pain and Glory) as the cat that easily transitions between hatred and enchantment.
