Following a fatal accident, a Chinese expatriate working for a mining company in Australia discovers that new technology developed by the company may be a health risk, and investigates a web of conspiracies in his search for the truth.
""Chui shao ren" has good references from Hollywood suspense films from the 1990s. It is a Chinese and Australian production, in an attempt to make a partially Chinese film with global appeal - hence, there are some dialogues in English. Director Xue Xiaolu, known for popular romantic comedies in China, ventured into suspense and did a great job. "Chui shao ren", as the title says, is full of intrigues and the plot is extremely well developed. It shows once again that Asian cinema is complete in every sense, deserving more and more attention from the Western audience."
