"This is an Egyptian movie, a cinema that is still little known in Brazil and there much of the productions talk about anticolonialism, a popular theme in the country's culture. Following this line, 'Karmouz War' is an action-packed feature film directed by Peter Mimi, who is Egyptian, and with a screenplay by Mimi and Mohamed El Sobky, a famous producer from the country and known for launching great commercial productions. Set in Egypt, in the final period of World War II, the feature has a good story and talented cast, however what promised to be a good plot, ends up presenting some problems in execution. If you are an action movie enthusiast, you will be satisfied with 'Karmouz War'. The production is loaded with good sequences of pure adrenaline, the photography and soundtrack help in the assembly, but not in the script. The inspiration of German composer Hans Zimmer in the fight scenes is noticeable. However, the soundtrack that helps in certain moments, hinders in others, such as when introducing new characters and increasing suspense."
