"We have already seen the great French actress Sandrine Kiberlain star in films whose themes are of utmost relevance to contemporary women (for example, 'My Girl'), and 'In Good Hands' is another example of this. This is a film that directly proposes, albeit with a touch of sentimental exaggeration, different stances towards motherhood: the choice to give up one's biological child by a young woman who has just given birth, contrasted with a woman who for a decade has been trying to become a mother, without success. Although the way babies are portrayed feels somewhat sugar-coated, it has the great merit of also showing the conditions under which adoptions work."
