After being sent to Nigeria against his will, a stubborn Nigerian-American teenager joins forces with an Internet scammer in order to return to the United States.

"The title of the movie makes reference to the "Nigerian Prince" scam, also known as the "Nigerian Fraud", which was very popular on the internet a few years ago. The scammer would send an email in the name of a Nigerian prince, or another African country, saying that you had been chosen to receive an inheritance and to receive the money you would need to respond to the message with your details. The movie may not be based on this, but the plot of the feature film is focused on virtual crimes. In 'Nigerian Prince', we follow the story of a young American who goes to Nigeria and there, begins to commit scams on the internet. The production is not original Netflix, it is an independent production from 2018 that was acquired by streaming and premiered in 2020. The feature film is an excellent gateway to Nigerian cinema, popularly known as Nollywood. The country's film market is large and only loses to Bollywood."
