Why watch the movie Freaks: You're One of Us?
"It seems Netflix is on the hunt for a superhero movie to call its own -- even if it doesn't take itself too seriously sometimes. After 'Power', it's now time for 'Freaks: You're One of Us' to try and grab the attention of this action-thirsty audience. In the case of this German production, however, everything strays from the norm. Firstly, the totally different direction of Felix Binder (known for German TV series), who doesn't give in to the obvious and puts a cook as the protagonist of this superhero story. Furthermore, the production is an open invitation for the audience to discover new visions about hero stories, finding these intelligent and fun variations from other cultures and countries. It's not a Marvel or DC movie. Nevertheless, in the end, it serves as good entertainment and a way to travel beyond the obvious."
