When Fall Is Coming

"When Fall is Coming is a chilling thriller from the prolific and always provocative director François Ozon. The plot follows an elderly woman eagerly awaiting the visit of her daughter and grandson. However, when her daughter accidentally gets poisoned by toxic mushrooms at dinner, the seed of distrust is sown between them, as the woman has a troubled past. She falls into despair over not being able to see her grandson, and everything that follows seems to be the result of bad luck. But when her best friend's son is released from prison, the shadow of doubt grows. It’s one of those thrillers where no one is really who they say they are, and both the past and traumas begin to torment a group of people who, increasingly, cross boundaries from which there is no turning back. If you're looking for an intense movie that might even make you uncomfortable, Ozon has what you need."
