"Peak Everything (Amour Apocalypse) is a Canadian apocalyptic comedy that premiered at the Directors' Fortnight of the 2025 Cannes Film Festival. The story follows Adam (Patrick Hivon), the owner of a dog boarding house who suffers from chronic anxiety and depression due to the climate crisis and the real possibility of the end of the world. His life seems to improve when, after buying a so-called "therapeutic light" lamp, he contacts the manufacturer's customer service and ends up speaking with the charming Tina (Piper Perabo), with whom he immediately falls in love. During an emergency, he decides to go find her and meet her in person, developing a spontaneous but complicated relationship. The film deals with very real climate anxieties in a way that recalls Paul Thomas Anderson’s Punch-Drunk Love, but in a situation very similar to another apocalyptic romantic comedy, Seeking a Friend for the End of the World. A perfect movie for those looking for some hope and meaning even when it seems nowhere to be found."
